Thank you for reading our first online version of Connectivit
"E", the Office of Information Technology newsletter. We hope
that this newsletter provides you with valuable information about
Information Technology and the resources and support available to you at
Montclair State University.
The Office of Information Technology serves as a vital role in the
overall academic and administrative community of our University. The
range of services provided to the campus community include: electronic
mail, public computer assisted learning environments, WWW access,
MSU-ISP access, training in information technologies, help-desk support,
telecommunications, and RESnet.
These and many other services are provided to our client base of more
than 2,500 employees, and 14,000 students. Our services touch on and
affect the daily lives of virtually everyone associated with this
University. Our office provides the infrastructure for our faculty to
teach and our students to learn, for the business areas of the campus to
be productive and for everyone on the campus to be able to communicate.
During the summer and the fall, we have and continue to dedicate
resources to providing better service in technology use. Four major
