Meet the New Internet Specialist of IT

Peter Campbell has worked in education and technology for more than 11 years.  Most recently, he served as the Product Manager for E-Learn, a suite of web-based productivity tools for teachers. Prior to that, he taught Web development classes at Portland State University and developed and taught multimedia classes at The Art Institute International.  He also served as a Web developer for the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory.  Peter was first bitten by the multimedia bug way back in 1995 while a writing instructor at the University of Missouri, where he developed an innovative multimedia curriculum and workshop.  He holds a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.A. from New York University.  He's passionate about theatre, film, football, and his four cats. Peter is married to Susan Maginn, who works for the Mental Health Association of New Jersey as the Community Education Coordinator.

As the new Internet Specialist, Peter has been hired to help faculty effectively integrate technology into their classrooms. Emphasizing the transformational potential of technology, Peter's work with faculty is more than just training them on how to push buttons. Peter will conduct training sessions, hold small group workshops, and sponsor engaging panels and dialogues in which faculty members share their technology experiences with their peers. He is also available for private consultation by appointment.
