The object of teaching a child
is to enable him to get along
without his teacher. By

Thank you for visiting my homepage. I'd like to take this
opportunity to let you know who I am. I have been teaching for
four years. I was a kindergarten teacher for the last three years and
have recently taken on the challenge of my district's library media
specialist. I have also coached freshmen girls basketball in my district
and managed our after school latchkey program.
I did my undergraduate work at Towson
University in Maryland and I earned my Associate Media Specialist
certification at Montclair
State University in New Jersey. I chose to be a teacher because as a
teenager I worked with children at camps and pre-schools and found it very
rewarding. Working
with children is a lot of fun and is a new learning experience everyday.
My mission as a teacher is to make children life long learners so that they
can continue to grow even when the school bell stops ringing.
When I am not working I love
spending time with my family and friends. I have recently gotten engaged and
my fiancé and I are planning a 2004 wedding. One of my favorite things
to do with my family is eat our traditional Italian Sunday dinners. I
love cooking and eating Italian food. I also love to spend time
listening to music. I love all types of music from
classical to hip-hop to country. Music is something that inspires me to
write. I am hoping to one day write a children's book. Thank you for
taking the time to get to know me.
